New hope was found when they walked into the studio to record a cover of Alice Cooper’s “No More Mr. Many thought Megadeth was never going to stand on their feet again. Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson were lost in addiction, rumors of the band dissolving were wide spread, Megadeth had no drummer and couldn’t find the perfect lead guitarist, it was Megadeth’s darkest hour. When Jeff Young and Chuck Behler were fired after touring in support for their “So Far, So Good… So What!” album, Megadeth’s activity came screeching to a halt. The album reached #28 on the Billboard Top 200 and would eventually be certified platinum. Produced by Mike Clink and Dave Mustaine, “Rust In Peace” received universal acclaim by critics and fans alike and has been responsible of bringing Megadeth to the attention of mainstream metal audiences. The album was released by Capitol Records on September 24, 1990. “Rust In Peace” is the 4th studio album by American thrash metal band, Megadeth.
